Hi, I’m Tanya Smith, and I’m known as the Marketing and Mindset Mentor. Why? Because helping solopreneurs to attract more ideal clients with an actionable Marketing System, with strategies that work is what I do, and my passion is my tagline “Get More Clients, Consistently, with a Marketing Action Plan”!
This wasn’t what I always did. Originally although I came from a background of Honors in Marketing, I did high level process auditing for multi-million dollar global businesses. It gave me a unique position to have a bird’s eye view of many different businesses, as well as the hands on advisory role on the nitty-gritty of implementation.
When I was blessed with having twin girls I knew the globe-trotting lifestyle was no longer for me, so I retrained to have my own Mindset Therapy business, and eagerly awaited the flood of clients I’d been assured I’d get from referrals and word of mouth, and giving out free sessions.
And I waited…and I waited….getting more and more frustrated that it just wasn’t happening (and twins are expensive believe me – I had double the bills stacking up)
Once the self-doubts started to creep in (Was I a good enough therapist – was this ever going to succeed??) I realized that somehow, the way I’d been told to grow my business just didn’t feel right. It wasn’t happening fast enough.
And then one day, I was chatting with a fellow therapist, who was struggling to get enough clients. Without thinking, I gave her a few tips from when I’d originally been in marketing. Off she went, and then she called me a couple of weeks later to thank me! She’d done what I’d suggested, and got herself three new clients.
Light-bulb moment! I made it my mission to find out everything I could about marketing for solopreneur businesses, online and offline. I invested thousands, and looked at what was working and what wasn’t, and I burned the midnight oil. And the more I did, the more excited I got, because I KNEW I’d found the answers to what was stopping solopreneurs from being able to grow a successful business – it was NOT having sound Marketing and Client Attraction strategies at the core of the business!
So now, fast forward, and I’ve been lucky enough to have helped hundreds of solopreneurs, just like you, to finally have the right strategies and confidence to take action on a marketing plan which gets more clients!
